It’s incredible to be nearing the end of April already! The year seems to be flying past, with the adoption of NCC 2022 fast approaching on 1 May.
Charter of Transparency and Engagement
As part of our ongoing promise to engage in genuine and open consultation with stakeholders, we have developed a Charter of Transparency and Engagement.
This document sets out our commitment to building and retaining the confidence and trust of the people and organisations who have an interest in our work. The Charter outlines how we share information about the way we work and explains our decision-making process. Through this document we are also committing to consult in ways that help people share perspectives with us.
We will continue to announce active consultations and other activities on our social media pages, website and through our newsletter. If you are not already subscribed to receive ABCB emails, update your preferences in your profile or register now.
NCC and Proposal for Change
In just under 2 weeks, NCC 2022 will be adopted by states and territories. As the NCC is updated in a 3-year cycle through a public consultation process, the ABCB Office has already been working on the next edition, with research underway to guide updates for the next edition of the NCC.
Updates to the NCC are made through a public consultation process. If you would like to propose a change, you can do this through our Proposal for Change process. This process is just one aspect of the ABCB’s engagement with stakeholders.
Submission of proposals to change will be accepted until 1 August 2023.
You can find more information about submitting a Proposal for Change on the ABCB website.
Keep an eye on the ABCB website and social media pages as we release articles and resources to assist with understanding of the changes in NCC 2022.
