Lighting refurbishment of an office building

This Case Study outlines developing a DTS Solution for the energy efficiency of an interior lighting refurbishment for an office building. It is based on the DTS Provisions in Section J, Part J6 Artificial lighting in NCC Volume One.

The refurbishment includes replacing all lighting and control devices with multiple design scenarios explored. The design scenarios considered include:

minimal control devices
daylight sensors around the perimeter
motion sensors to all lighting
lighting with good colour rendering
a combination of daylight sensors, motion sensors and lighting with good colour rendering.
