The ABCB will be making editorial corrections to NCC 2022.
These corrections do not change the effect of the provisions. The relevant editorial updates will correct some minor typographical errors and hyperlinks across the national requirements and State and Territory variations. A complete list of all editorial corrections will be released to accompany the final NCC 2022 volumes.
The update will take a few weeks to complete. We anticipate the corrected NCC will be ready to publish on NCC Online in early December.
We are also undertaking a final quality assurance review on the new Livable Housing Standard to ensure compatibility with other provisions of the NCC.
We have asked all commercial publishers to hold off providing printed copies of the NCC until we’ve finished the update. We’ve also taken down the PDF copies for now.
We apologise for any delays this may cause. We will make the update available as soon as possible.
Do I need to stop using NCC 2022?
The current version of NCC 2022 will remain available and there is no issue in continuing to reference it.
In accordance with the decision of Building Ministers, NCC 2022 formally commences on 1 May 2023.
NCC 2019 Amendment 1 is still the current version.
