This Standard provides technical design criteria requirements for temporary structures, covering structural safety (particularly determining appropriate wind actions), fire safety (including fire resistance of materials; fire safety services and equipment, and egress) access, sanitary facilities and certain ancillary provisions. The normative parts of the Standard are accompanied by informative material to assist in its application and to provide guidance on matters, which are outside the scope of the Standard and the types of temporary structures. The application of the Standard and the types of temporary structures to which the Standard is applied is for the determination of each State or Territory authority responsible for regulatory matters associated with temporary structures.
