Energy Efficiency Research Reports
On 30 April the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) announced that it would request the ABCB to significant increase the stringency of the BCA energy efficiency provisions for all new commercial buildings in BCA 2010.
To prepare for the COAG request, the ABCB and the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, commissioned a series of studies that assisted the development of the proposed BCA provisions. The studies for housing are listed in the “Current Related Documents” box on this page.
General Information
A number of research reports relating to energy efficiency are available in the "Related Documents" box. These include Regulation Impact Statements (RISs), Regulation Documents (RDs) and Other Research Reports. Further research reports are available from the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency website.
Note: All ABCB RIS documents listed here were approved by the Office of Regulation Review (now the Office of Best Practice Regulation) as meeting Council of Australian Governments' RIS requirements.
