NCC 2019 consultation period is closing!
The consultation period for the proposed changes for NCC 2019 and associated Consultation Regulation Impact Statements (RIS) is closing soon.
NCC 2019 Public Comment Draft
The NCC 2019 Public Comment Draft includes a number of key amendments that aim to deliver a contemporary code without compromising the minimum standards for building and plumbing systems. Access the public comment draft to learn more about these key changes.
Your feedback is important as it is instrumental to the ongoing development and maintenance of the NCC and broader regulatory reform matters.
Feedback is invited on the proposed changes until COB this Friday, 13 April 2018. Comments relating to energy efficiency of commercial buildings closes COB Friday, 20 April 2018.
Your comments on the analysis of the likely impacts from changes to the NCC are just as important and consultation will be closing soon.
Substantial changes to the NCC require assessment to determine their likely costs and benefits and the ABCB needs your input. The following Consultation RIS’ analyse specific changes and seek responses to key questions:
- Fire safety in Class 2 and Class 3 residential buildings (Sprinkler protection);
- Energy efficiency of commercial buildings (Class 5-9 and common areas of Class 2);
- Heating and cooling load limits in residential buildings; and
- Accessible adult change facilities in public buildings.
Consultation RIS’ can be downloaded from the Resource Library, with further information available in the Consultation RIS section.
Please check the individual closing dates for each Consultation RIS.
Response sheets are available for the Public Comment Draft and each Consultation RIS, and can be downloaded from the Resource Library. Please ensure you follow the submission process outlined within.
Thank you to those that have already submitted feedback.
