NCC 2019 key dates
A key part of the regulation reform agenda, which is directed at reducing red tape, changing culture and providing industry with higher levels of certainty is the move from a one-year amendment cycle to a three-year amendment cycle.
This initiative covers implementation actions that will need to be undertaken in preparation for the commencement of the three-year cycle, following NCC 2016. The below outlines the key dates for the production and release of NCC 2019.
8 February - 13 April
The public comment draft period commenced on 8 February 2018 when the NCC 2019 Public Comment Draft was released. Feedback was encouraged on the proposed NCC changes.
Closing date for comments on the NCC 2019 was Friday, 13 April 2018 for all items except energy efficiency of commercial buildings. Comments for energy efficiency of commercial buildings closed Friday, 20 April 2018.
The preview of NCC 2019 is available for download from February 2019.
NCC 2019 will be adopted by States and Territories on 1 May 2019.
